At least eight people, including a woman and a young girl, lost their lives after a powerful explosion in a gas pipeline in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The incident took place in the Hattar Industrial Estate, located in Haripur district.
The explosion happened near a grinding mill close to the Grand Trunk Road, which is a busy route used by many vehicles every day. According to reports, the gas pipeline suddenly exploded, causing a very strong blast. Soon after the explosion, a large fire broke out and spread quickly in the area.
The fire was intense, making it difficult for people nearby to escape. Emergency teams and local authorities rushed to the spot to control the fire and help the injured. Several people were hurt in the incident and were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment.
Officials have not yet confirmed what caused the explosion. An investigation is expected to find out whether it was due to a technical fault, gas leakage, or some other reason.
This tragic incident has raised concerns about safety measures in industrial areas, especially where gas pipelines are present. Authorities are likely to review safety systems to prevent such accidents in the future.
