A case filed in Noida against a woman for allegedly making disrespectful comments about Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a protest has been moved to Delhi for further investigation. The complaint was registered as a Zero FIR on July 29, claiming the woman used abusive language against the PM during a demonstration over the NEET paper leak on July 23.
The complaint stated that her remarks hurt the dignity of the Prime Minister’s office and could have caused social unrest. The case was filed under sections related to provoking peace disturbances, public mischief, and defamation in the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
A Delhi Police official confirmed the transfer but declined to comment further. The police will review the case details, seek legal advice, and decide the next steps after receiving the FIR copy. The investigation will follow all legal procedures and guidelines.
The transferred FIR is expected to be handled by the Parliament Street Police Station in Delhi.
