SSLV transferred to profitable companies for 400 crore decided by ISRO

The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has announced plans to transfer the Small Satellite Launch Vehicle (SSLV) rocket technology to profitable companies with a minimum turnover of Rs 400 crore. Interested companies will be selected based on their expertise in handling multi-disciplinary turn-key projects and their ability to absorb the SSLV technology, including areas such as aerodynamics, structural design, auxiliary systems, propulsion technologies, avionics, and more.

The move is aimed at promoting the growth of the private sector in the space industry and encouraging indigenous manufacturing and development of launch vehicles. This initiative will allow capable companies to leverage ISRO’s expertise and technology to enhance their capabilities in the space sector. The transfer of SSLV technology is expected to bolster the country’s space capabilities and contribute to the overall growth of the space industry in India.
