Stalin Resigns After Tamil Nadu Defeat

M.K. Stalin has officially resigned from his position as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu following the results of the recent Assembly elections.

According to sources, Stalin’s resignation letter was sent to R.N. Ravi at the Governor’s office. As per standard procedure, the Governor is expected to ask Stalin to continue as interim Chief Minister until the new government is formally formed and takes charge.

Stalin’s resignation marks a major political transition in Tamil Nadu after the defeat of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) alliance in the elections.

Meanwhile, in West Bengal, the All India Trinamool Congress (TMC) also faced a major setback after suffering a heavy defeat against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the Assembly elections.

TMC Member of Parliament Mahua Moitra responded to the results by saying that her party respects the people’s mandate, emphasizing that the will of the public is supreme in a democracy.

She also stated that the TMC will continue its political fight to protect secular values and work toward maintaining a secular nation.

These developments signal major political shifts in both Tamil Nadu and West Bengal, as parties prepare to reorganize after significant electoral defeats.
