Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta recently distributed bicycles to more than 200 Class 9 students at the Delhi Assembly as part of the Vidya Vahini scheme.
The programme is aimed at helping schoolgirls travel to and from school more easily. So far, more than 3,200 bicycles have reportedly been distributed to students under the initiative.
Helping Girls Reach School
The main goal of the scheme is to make travelling to school easier for girls, especially those who live far away from their schools.
