Nadigar Sangam protest and Rajni's speech

RajnikanthThe Nadigar Sangam, organized a protest meeting at the Sangam's building yesterday in which a large number of actors and actresses from the past and present era took part.

Rajnikanth, dressed black, took part in the meeting.  Only when Rajnikanth thanked the police department and the chief minister for having arrested the editor of the daily in question, the gathering and the presspersons come to know of the said arrest.  Rajni, in his characteristic style, said that he used to keep mum when he was very angry and added that in the instant case, he was indeed very angry and therefore won't say much.

Whatever little he had said has raised a huge controversy!  As he spoke, Rajni said that "The Police catch these girls, who indulge in prostitution mainly to make their ends meet and satiate their hunger.  The practice of taking photos of the arrested women and publishing them in the dailies and magazines should be stopped altogether" , while concluding his speech.

This left many wondering was to whether the superstar was actually 'lending' his support to the dreaded profession!

It is a open fact that heroines have to share bed with various people in the film field, director, producer, actor, financier, etc. They have no morals. Some elderly actresses start running a brothel house when they are too old to act. So it is normal.

This seems to be orchestrated by the Tamil Nadu CM. The reason for my comment is simply due to Mulla Periyar dam issue. And parts of Tamil Nadu(like Theni, Kambam, Kumuli, Chinna manoor) will not get water if Kerala gets success. And moreover the state elections are approaching. And more over the people should be diverted from the actual issue. So, as usual he raked up this issue by linking film personalities with media this time. And everyone knows about the culture of cine personalities. My only advice to people of Tamil Nadu is don't take this as a issue and people will not starve for food due to this issue. And for mulla periyar dam issue people may starve for food if Tamil Nadu does not get water. And actors will always act and it is their profession. The same they did in the protest.

back to track, there around 5 mainstream actresses reportedly blamed as per the newspaper. rajini did not open fire, he returned fire. He being a mainstream actor took the repsonsibility. the fame and blame game exists not only in film world but also in other fields. A woman's trouble is untold in all these extremities of situations. to call him clown when defending the weak, to call him poor decision maker, just goes to show how people wish to dry him out...finding every reason to pull him down...

when every field has corrupt people within them including politics, why not the cine field?its high time these actors took responsibility for their actions and start respecting the law of the land and press freedom. its a shame to arrest a press reporter due to some pressure from the cineworld

Its all in the game, what he can do against the cini industry. If he is not attend the Protest all will say he is not supporting the cini artist. so he has to attend the protest, after attend the protest he can't sit simply. so he has to talk some thing... if he speak some thing then it will become a news.... Now Rajni and his speech is the news, ppl totally forgot about the B'wari.

Its high time we stop believing on film actors .They are known for their acting , thats why they call him superstar for they way great Rajnikanth acts. I admire his movies , I love them too . But this is not the time to throw all those filmy dialogues ,the whole world is watching it on TV just because they arrested somebody who relieved the dirty secrets on a local tamil paper and it all happened cos our tamil film industry gave it so much hype .Tell me who is publicising the news ?

The issue is not at all about superstar's payment of taxes or actors entering politics. The Dinamalar had published an article which stated that according to their source, many yesteryear actresses ran brothels. The actors protested this. In a meeting called by actors for condemning this report, Superstar's speech was as usual ambiguous. He was not clear as to what he wanted to say. This is it. Why unnecessarily rake up issues like payment of taxes by superstar or actors entering politics? It is obvious that the state government has bent backwards to please the actors with their popularity in mind, as elections are drawing near. This does not completely absolve the editor of Dinamalar of irresponsibility with his insinuation against actresses. If it si true, he should reveal the source of his information and let the people judge the actions. As far as Superstar is concerned, it is a known fact that he is always a bit ambiguous in his stands. One is always left guessing with his speeches confusing. Ok, everybody has their own style.

Guys and girls who work in Tamilnadu Film Industry assume the position as guardian of demoracy in the State. It is upto the talented youths in the State to market themselves to arrest this unnecessary and unwanted fingering into politics by Tamil Film actors who most of the time try to identify themselves as somebody near to hindu deities. This is not required. Sooner the film industry guys and girls are confined to their day to day activities it is better for the whole State. Bhuvanesware's alleged episode is a matter for the Police and State Law department to deal with. Let the news media in India be not dragged down like what is happending in the neighbouring states.

The TN government is giving too much support to CINE people. CINE people are enjoying their life compare to ordinary people. TN government acts clearly shows that, it is not supporting rules and laws for everyone. Why CINE actors not accepting the truth about prostitution in film industry? Why they didn't questions buvaneswary? Are they supporting BVeswary?

the superstar is not supporting the profession, he's concerned about the people who indulge in this unfortunate, helpless lifestyle. and to Jai, he is the one of the persons who pays tax regularly. he's against black money and corruption. he's not speaking as a star but as a member of actor's sangam. filmdom is like any other industry today. who else would have want to comment on this issue? Al Gore?!

Welcome to tamil nadu. People has to understand, these idiots are here to make money. Shame on these film stars. These things happen only in India. The owner of DINAMALAR is been arrested, for what. So this is called freedom of speech.
