Chennai’s OMR residents want CM to take steps to remove toll at Navalur

The Federation of OMR Resident Associations said motorists were charged Rs.5 per km for a 7 km length road, and the toll gate would be closed when Chennai metro rail work began but still, it has not happened. The Federation of OMR Resident Associations representing over 3 lakhs residents and requested the Chief Minister by letter regarding the removal of the toll plaza at Navalur.

In 2021, the TN government closed four of the five tolls when the Chennai metro rail work started, but the fifth one is still working even though residents had been informed that the fifth toll will also close when the Metro Rail work starts.
