Congress to Launch ‘Save Constitution’ Rally in Ranchi Today
The Congress party is holding a ‘Save Constitution’ rally in Ranchi today to defend democracy and protest against the policies of the BJP-led central government. Top Congress leaders and thousands of party workers are gathering at Morabadi Ground to show support for constitutional rights and freedoms.
Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge is leading the rally along with other senior leaders. Kalpana Soren, the wife of jailed former Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, is also attending the event. Congress leaders have invited people from across Jharkhand to take part and raise their voices.
The party planned this rally to protest against the arrest of opposition leaders and the misuse of central agencies like the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). Congress leaders say the BJP is trying to silence political opponents and weaken state governments led by opposition parties.
By holding this rally, Congress wants to alert the public about growing threats to the Constitution. The leaders believe that the central government is ignoring constitutional values such as free speech, fair elections, and equal treatment. They are asking people to protect democracy and stop the misuse of power.
Congress workers prepared for the rally by putting up banners, distributing flyers, and arranging transport for supporters. They brought people from different districts to join the event in large numbers. Many students, farmers, and social activists are also taking part.
Police and security teams have created strict arrangements to manage the crowd and ensure peace. Traffic officers have blocked some roads near the rally site and are guiding vehicles to prevent jams.
The Congress party is using this rally to begin a larger movement across India. They plan to hold similar events in other states to unite people against what they call the BJP’s attacks on democracy.
This rally shows that Congress wants to take a strong stand and remind citizens of their rights under the Constitution.
