PIL Seeks Ban on Film Desiya Thalaivar

A petition has been filed in the Madras High Court to stop the release of
the Tamil movie Desiya Thalaivar. The film tells the story of Pasumpon Muthuramalinga Thevar.

The petitioner said the movie shows some scenes about former Chief Minister
K. Kamaraj that are not true or confirmed.

The petition added that showing wrong information about Kamaraj could damage
his good name and the respect people have for him in Tamil Nadu.

The petitioner asked the court to ban the movie until the filmmakers fix or
remove the false parts.

The Madras High Court will soon look into the case and decide what action
to take.
