Chennai Metrowater Installs Meters to Reduce Water Loss

Chennai Metrowater is working to reduce water loss and improve water management by installing electromagnetic flow meters at all its water treatment and distribution facilities in the city. The project is expected to be finished by March 2026.

The initiative is part of a bigger plan to manage water better. The agency is not only focusing on increasing water supply but also on saving water by reducing leakages, replacing old pipelines, and implementing a proper metering system.
