India Advances Education Reforms with National Education Policy
India has entered an important stage in its education system with the National Education Policy (NEP), which was announced on July 29, 2020.
As the NEP enters its sixth year, policymakers are focusing on new approaches instead of old methods. The goal is to promote skill development, creativity, and innovation among students.
Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has said that the NEP will help achieve Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of guiding the new generation away from the old “Macaulay mentality” and toward a more modern, practical, and Indian-focused education system.
