Parliament Budget Session 2026 Begins January 28

The Budget Session of Parliament will begin on the 28th of this month and will continue until the 2nd of April. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju shared this information in a social media post.

He said that the first part of the Budget Session will end on the 13th of February. After a break, Parliament will meet again for the second phase starting on the 9th of March.

Mr Rijiju described the Budget Session as an important step for meaningful discussions and people-focused governance. He also said that, based on the recommendation of the Central government, President Droupadi Murmu has approved the calling of both the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha for the Budget Session 2026.

During this session, the Union Budget will be presented and debated, along with discussions on key national issues and proposed laws.
