Prawn Koliwada Recipe
Ingredients (for 300 gm prawns):
300 gm Prawns
1 tbsp Ginger-garlic paste
1 tsp Red chilli powder
3 tsp Besan (gram flour)
2 tsp Maida (all-purpose flour)
4 tsp Yogurt
1 tsp Oil
2 tsp Lemon juice
2 tsp Coriander powder
Salt, to taste
Oil for deep-frying
Chaat masala, as needed
How to Make Prawn Koliwada:
Prepare the prawns: Wash and devein the prawns. Pat them dry.
Marinate: Mix prawns with ginger-garlic paste, ½ tsp red chilli powder, coriander powder, 1 tsp lemon juice, and salt. Let them rest for 20–25 minutes.
Coat the prawns: Squeeze out extra moisture. Add maida, besan, yogurt, oil, remaining lemon juice, and remaining red chilli powder. Mix well so prawns are fully coated.
Deep-fry: Heat oil in a kadhai or deep pan on medium heat. Fry the prawns in batches until they turn golden brown.
Drain and serve: Place fried prawns on tissue paper to remove extra oil. Sprinkle chaat masala on top.
