“India Joins WEF Global Skills Accelerator Network”

The World Economic Forum (WEF) has announced that the launch of a new Skills Accelerator in India has strengthened its global network of training and skill development programmes.

With India joining, the network now includes 45 national accelerators, which have together helped around 15 million people improve their skills and find better job opportunities.

The announcement was made at the end of the 56th annual meeting of the World Economic Forum held in Davos-Klosters, Switzerland. Officials said the India Accelerator will focus on removing barriers that prevent people from getting equal access to skill training. The aim is to make skilling more fair and inclusive.

The Forum also shared its plans to make major global investments in workforce skill development. These accelerators work by bringing together governments, businesses, and civil society groups. They turn global ideas and solutions into practical actions suited to each country.

The goal is to improve employment opportunities, skill training, and inclusive economic growth, helping more people get jobs and build better careers.
