Police Continue Search for Body at Perungudi Dumpyard

City police are still searching for the body of Minukumari, one of the victims in the recent triple murder case reported on Wednesday.

The search operation at the Perungudi dumpyard has entered its second day. Police teams are working day and night to find the body. The area is large and filled with huge piles of garbage, making the search very difficult.

Around eight police personnel, along with nearly a dozen conservancy workers, are involved in the operation. Earth-moving machines are also being used to clear and sift through the waste.

Officials said they have marked certain areas inside the dumpyard for a focused search. These spots were identified based on information given by garbage truck drivers who regularly unload waste there. Their statements helped the police narrow down possible locations where the body may have been dumped.

The teams are carefully checking each section, but the process is slow because of the large volume of trash and the need to avoid missing any evidence.

Police said the search will continue until the body is found. Meanwhile, the investigation into the triple murder case is ongoing, and officers are collecting more clues to solve the crime.
