Devika Sihag Reaches Thailand Masters 2026 Semifinals

In badminton, India’s Devika Sihag will play against fifth seed Huang Yu Hsun of Chinese Taipei in the semi-finals of the Thailand Masters 2026. The match is scheduled for this afternoon at 1:45 PM IST at the Nimibutr Stadium.

Devika reached the semifinals after a strong performance in the quarter-finals, where she defeated Thailand’s Supanida Katethong, who is ranked world number 16.

In other women’s singles action, Isharani Baruah lost in the quarter-finals to Malaysia’s Wong Ling Ching, with scores of 18-21, 21-16, 21-13, ending her run in the tournament.

India’s chances in the Men’s Singles also ended at the quarter-final stage. Tharun Mannepalli was defeated by China’s Zhu Xuan Chen with scores of 11-21, 17-21.

With Devika advancing to the semifinals, India continues to hope for a medal in the women’s singles event. Fans will be eagerly watching her match against the experienced Huang Yu Hsun later today.
