The report also highlighted his role in strengthening the country’s military forces. It stated that under his leadership, North Korea has improved its defence capabilities, especially its nuclear forces, which it described as the main pillar of its war deterrence strategy.

During the meeting, the party also elected new members to its Central Committee. In addition, changes were made to the party’s rules, although detailed information about these revisions was not fully released.

The party congress is an important political event in North Korea, where major decisions about leadership and policies are taken. The re-election of Kim Jong Un shows that he continues to hold firm control over the country’s ruling party and its direction.
