Modi Netanyahu Discuss Stronger India Israel Ties
On the final day of his two-day visit to Israel on Thursday (February 26, 2026), Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to hold delegation-level talks with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. During the meeting, the two leaders are expected to review ongoing cooperation and discuss ways to further strengthen ties between India and Israel. Several Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) are also likely to be exchanged to expand collaboration in key sectors.
Prime Minister Modi will begin his day by visiting Yad Vashem, Israel’s official memorial dedicated to the victims of the Holocaust. The visit is seen as a mark of respect and remembrance. He is expected to pay tribute and highlight the importance of peace and humanity.
After the memorial visit, Mr. Modi will meet Israeli President Isaac Herzog. The meeting will focus on strengthening bilateral relations and discussing regional and global developments.
He stated that “terrorism anywhere threatens peace everywhere,” underlining India’s strong stand against terrorism and its commitment to global peace.
Later in the day, the Prime Minister will interact with prominent members of the Indian-Jewish community in Israel. The engagement aims to strengthen people-to-people ties and acknowledge the role of the community in building strong relations between the two nations.
The visit is considered significant as India and Israel continue to deepen cooperation in areas such as defence, agriculture, water management, innovation and technology. Officials say the talks and agreements during this visit are expected to give a fresh push to the strategic partnership between the two countries.
