O Panneerselvam’s Son Seeks DMK Tickets for Two Constituencies
O Panneerselvam, a former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, has asked the DMK (Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam) party to allow him and his son, P Ravindhranath Kumar, to contest in two constituencies in the upcoming state Assembly election. This is quite an interesting turn of events! Panneerselvam’s son, Ravindranath, was a former Member of Parliament from Theni constituency. He has expressed his willingness to run for both Bodinayakanur and Andipatti seats on behalf of the DMK. Additionally, he submitted an application seeking a ticket for his father, O Panneerselvam, to contest in the Bodinayakanur constituency. It is also worth noting that Ravindranath has asked the party leadership to consider Chief Minister M K Stalin and Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin as candidates for three constituencies in Theni district: Andipatti, Cumbum, and Bodinayakanur. Similarly, an application was submitted on behalf of O Panneerselvam, seeking a ticket for Stalin and Udhayanidhi Stalin to contest in the same three constituencies. As you may recall, O Panneerselvam had previously expressed his willingness to run as a DMK candidate, using the party’s symbol, the “Rising Sun”. This is quite an exciting development in Tamil Nadu politics!
