IPL 2026 Schedule Announcement: Details and Streaming

The 2026 season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) will be the 19th edition of the tournament and is expected to be the biggest IPL season yet. This year, the tournament will feature 84 matches, up from 74 matches in the 2025 edition.

Devajit Saikia, secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), said that the schedule for the first 20 days of the tournament will be announced soon.

He told ANI, “We will announce the first 20-day schedule of IPL in 2 or 3 days after considering the election dates in a few states. The rest of the tournament schedule will be released later.”

The IPL 2026 schedule is being released in two phases because of the upcoming state assembly elections in Assam, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala. This is to ensure there are no clashes with election-related events.
