India’s External Affairs Minister Leads Meeting on India-Africa Relations

S. Jaishankar recently led a meeting in New Delhi to discuss ways to strengthen ties between India and countries in Africa.

During the meeting, officials talked about how India can increase its engagement with African nations. This includes improving trade and investment, offering financial help through loans and grants, and supporting development projects.

They also discussed improving education and skill training programs so that people in African countries can get better opportunities. In addition, the meeting covered cooperation in defense and working together in international organizations.

Dr. Jaishankar said that India and Africa share a long history and strong cultural connections. He also mentioned that there are close people-to-people ties between both regions.

He emphasized that building stronger relationships will help both India and African countries grow together and benefit from each other in the future.
