Holder Praises Team Effort After GT Win Over PBKS

Gujarat Titans (GT) all-rounder Jason Holder highlighted his team’s collective effort after their four-wicket victory over Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the IPL 2026 match on Sunday night. He emphasized that the team’s strength lies in consistent contributions from different players rather than individual performances.

Holder noted that GT has maintained a similar approach throughout recent seasons, where multiple players step up on different occasions to deliver results. While the team hasn’t played a “perfect game” yet, they have managed to secure crucial points by performing well in key moments. He acknowledged the importance of teamwork and praised the team’s ability to adapt and make necessary adjustments during matches.

Holder also lauded the performances of bowlers Mohammed Siraj and Kagiso Rabada, calling them “outstanding” throughout the competition. Their strong starts in the powerplay have made it difficult for opposing batters to score freely. Holder highlighted their class and quality, especially their ability to bowl extended spells in the powerplay and set the tone for the rest of the innings.

In the match against PBKS, Holder took four wickets with his bowling, including the dismissal of key players like Shreyas Iyer and Marcus Stoinis. Siraj and Rabada also contributed significantly by taking early wickets, restricting PBKS to 163/9 despite a strong partnership between Suryansh Shedge and Marcus Stoinis.

In reply, GT faced an early stumble but Sai Sudharsan anchored the chase with a solid half-century, while Washington Sundar finished the innings with a six in the final over. This win moved GT to sixth place with 12 points, while PBKS remained at the top of the table with 13 points.
