Atlanta Falcons LB Jalon Walker Injured in Training Camp

Atlanta Falcons linebacker Jalon Walker was carried off the field on a cart after suffering a left leg injury during practice. The incident occurred during a drill at the team’s training facility. Medical staff rushed to his aid, and teammates kneeled in support as practice ended early.

Walker is feared to have torn his ACL, but an MRI will confirm the extent of the injury. If confirmed, this would be a significant setback for both him and the team.

Walker, 22, had been performing well in training camp and was expected to build on his solid rookie season, where he recorded 36 tackles, 5.5 sacks, and two forced fumbles. His versatility made him a key player in the Falcons’ defense.

The Falcons drafted Walker and fellow first-round pick James Pearce Jr. in 2025 to strengthen their pass rush. However, Pearce is facing potential suspension due to a domestic violence-related arrest. If both players are unavailable early in the season, the team may need to rely on veteran players or seek additional reinforcements.

The Falcons’ defensive line depth will be tested as they wait for MRI results to determine Walker’s recovery timeline.
