55 Caught in Night After Criminal Threatens Kerala Police

Kerala Police have launched a state-wide special operation called Operation Grip to control criminal activities and maintain public safety ahead of the Onam festival.

The operation was started after criminal Arjun Ayanki allegedly issued threats linked to possible disturbances during the festival. Police have increased their focus on gangs and people suspected of being involved in criminal activities.

55 People Arrested in One Night

As part of the crackdown, police arrested 55 people in a single night across different parts of Kerala. The arrests were made as officers targeted individuals suspected of involvement in gang-related activities and other crimes.

Police teams carried out checks and searches in several locations. The operation is expected to continue as authorities monitor people with known criminal backgrounds.

Security Increased for Onam

Onam is one of Kerala’s biggest and most important festivals. Large numbers of people usually travel, shop, attend celebrations and take part in public events during the festival period.

Because of the large crowds, police are taking additional steps to prevent violence, criminal activity and other disturbances.

Authorities want people to celebrate Onam peacefully without fear of crime or disruption.

Focus on Criminal Gangs

Operation Grip is mainly focused on breaking up criminal networks and preventing gangs from creating trouble. Police are keeping watch on people who may have links to organised criminal activities.

Officials are also monitoring areas where criminal groups are believed to be active. The aim is to prevent threats before they develop into serious incidents.

Police Warn Criminals

The large number of arrests sends a strong message to people involved in criminal activities that police will take strict action against those who threaten public safety.

Police have urged the public to remain alert and report suspicious activities to the authorities. They have also asked people to cooperate with officers during security checks.

Ensuring a Peaceful Onam

The operation comes at a time when Kerala is preparing for large-scale Onam celebrations. Maintaining law and order is a major priority because of the expected increase in public gatherings and travel.

Police officials have said that their main goal is to protect the public and ensure that people can celebrate the festival safely.

Operation Grip is expected to continue across the state as police work to prevent criminal activities and maintain peace during the Onam season.
