Netflix Scholarships for Creative Programs in India

Netflix and the Indian Institute of Creative Technologies (IICT) are offering scholarships to 100 students across six professional programs. These include two one-year diplomas and four six-month certificates, with up to 80% financial support.

The programs available are:
– Diploma in Interactive Comics and Sequential Arts
– Diploma in Visual Effects Mastery
– Certificate in Virtual Art Department Content Creation
– Certificate in Media Tech Workflow
– Certificate in Art of Character Animation
– Certificate in E-Sports & Gaming Management

This partnership aims to grow India’s creative talent and support the country’s ‘Orange Economy,’ which focuses on content creation. The initiative was announced after Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Netflix Co-CEO Ted Sarandos, where they discussed leveraging India’s storytelling tradition and creative skills to make it a global hub for content production.

Netflix’s India Storytelling Initiative seeks to empower the next generation of creators by providing industry-relevant training in Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, and Comics. This effort aligns with India’s goal to strengthen its position as a leader in innovative content creation.
