Saarathi Finance opens two new branches in Tamil Nadu to take the total to 19 branches

Saarathi Finance, an MSME-focused NBFC, has further strengthened its presence in Tamil Nadu by opening two more branches Tirupathur and Chengalpattu. With this expansion, the company now operates 19 branches across Tamil Nadu, reinforcing its focus on improving access to formal credit for small businesses and entrepreneurs across the state. At the national level, the company has opened more than 100 branches across six states, reinforcing its focus on MSME lending and bridging last-mile financial connectivity.

Nestled in the northern part of Tamilnadu, Tirupathur is fast emerging as a strong agriculture center with many crops raised in the region. Besides, neighboring areas too have a rich industrial base such as leather manufacturing with substantial export base. Chengalpattu is one of the fastest emerging industrial corridors in the state and is located on the Grand South Trunk (GST) highway.

Tamil Nadu has a large and diverse MSME base spanning manufacturing, trade and services, making it an important market for formal credit. According to NABARD’s State Focus Paper for FY2025-26, the MSME sector accounted for approximately 37% of Tamil Nadu’s projected priority-sector credit potential of ₹9.38 lakh crore. The growing credit requirements of businesses across the state present an opportunity for lenders to strengthen last-mile access to formal financing.

Against this backdrop, Saarathi Finance’s expansion in Tirupathur and Chengalpattu is aimed at bringing its lending solutions closer to local entrepreneurs and small businesses. The new branch will enable the company to engage more closely with businesses in the region and understand their financing requirements, particularly for working capital and business expansion. Saarathi Finance provides Loan Against Property (LAP) solutions with ticket sizes ranging from Rs. 5 lakhs to Rs. 35 lakhs, helping entrepreneurs unlock the value of their assets to support their business needs.

Having commenced operations in April 2025, Saarathi Finance has been steadily expanding its branch network across underserved semi-urban and rural markets. At the national level, the company has opened more than 100 branches across six states, reinforcing its focus on MSME lending and improving last-mile financial connectivity.

Commenting on the company’s expansion in Tamilnadu, Mr. Ronak Jain, Chief Credit Officer, Saarathi Finance said, “Tamil Nadu is an important market for Saarathi Finance, given its strong base of MSMEs and entrepreneurs across diverse business segments. With the opening of 19 branches in the state, we are strengthening our presence closer to the customers we serve. Tirupathur and Chengalpattu present an opportunity for us to engage with local businesses and understand their financing needs more closely. Our focus will remain on providing hassle-free, quick and timely access to credit that can support working capital requirements, business expansion and the growth aspirations of entrepreneurs.”

“As we continue to expand our footprint in Tamil Nadu and across India, our focus remains on sustainable growth, prudent risk management and building a technology- driven lending franchise that creates long-term value for our customers and stakeholders”, he further added.
