US Ambassador Hails India as Top Market for American Firms

US Ambassador Sergio Gor has praised India as a leading market for American businesses. Speaking at an event in New Delhi, he highlighted the growing partnership between India and the United States in defence, technology and trade.

Gor said major American companies are investing heavily in India’s data centres and semiconductor manufacturing industries. These investments are expected to create jobs in India while also supporting employment opportunities in the United States.

He also highlighted India’s growing role in artificial intelligence (AI) and technology development. According to Gor, partnerships between Indian and American companies can bring benefits to both countries. He praised the progress of India’s AI sector, particularly the recent AI summit, and appreciated Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership in promoting the country’s technological growth.
