Chadwick Boseman to Receive Walk of Fame Star

Late actor Chadwick Boseman will be honoured with a star on the
Hollywood Walk of Fame, five years after his death, People magazine
reported. Boseman passed away at the age of 43.
The ceremony will be held on November 20. Black Panther director Ryan
Coogler and actress Viola Davis, who worked with Boseman in Ma Rainey’s
Black Bottom, will give speeches at the event. Boseman’s wife, Simone
Ledward-Boseman, will receive the honour on his behalf.
The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce has announced that Boseman’s star will
be placed at 6904 Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles.
Ana Martinez, the producer of the Hollywood Walk of Fame, said they are
proud to honour Boseman’s incredible legacy. She said his powerful acting
and positive influence continue to inspire people around the world.
Chadwick Boseman, known for playing important Black American historical
figures, was also nominated for an Academy Award in 2021 for his role as
Levee Green in Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom.
