Charak Trailer Explores Faith and Superstition
After the success of The Kerala Story and Bastar: The Naxal Story, director Sudipto Sen is now backing a new project titled Charak: Fair of Faith. The upcoming film is a folklore thriller that questions blind faith and superstitions.
The makers released the trailer of the film on Thursday. The trailer gives a glimpse into a dark and mysterious world where occult practices and extreme beliefs play a major role in people’s lives. It hints at hidden truths and dangerous rituals carried out in the name of faith.
The story appears to revolve around a village community preparing for the Charak Mela, a traditional religious fair. In the trailer, the villagers believe that participating in the fair is their last hope to solve their problems and bring relief to their lives. However, as the story unfolds, the film suggests that there may be darker forces and unsettling secrets behind the rituals.
Backed by Sudipto Sen, the film aims to explore the thin line between faith and superstition. It tries to show how blind belief can sometimes lead to fear, manipulation and tragic consequences.
“Charak: Fair of Faith” is scheduled to release in theatres on March 6. With its intense theme and suspense-filled narrative, the film is expected to spark discussions about tradition, belief systems and the impact of superstition in modern society.
