Kathryn Hahn in Talks for Disney’s Mother Gothel

Kathryn Hahn may soon take on a new role as the Disney villain Mother Gothel in the upcoming live-action adaptation of “Tangled.”

Hahn, who gained widespread praise for her performance as Agatha Harkness in Marvel’s “Agatha All Along,” is reportedly in talks to play Mother Gothel, according to Variety. While no official deal has been signed yet, if she accepts, Hahn would join the previously announced lead actors: Teagan Croft as Rapunzel and Milo Manheim as Flynn Rider.

Mother Gothel is the main antagonist in the original 2010 animated film. She is the witch who kidnaps baby Rapunzel and keeps her locked away, using Rapunzel’s magical hair to stay young.
