Vetrimaaran Reveals Initial Casting Idea for Arasan

Vetrimaaran, one of Tamil cinema’s top directors, has shared an
interesting update about his upcoming film Arasan. He said that he
first thought about casting actor Kavin for an important one-line
concept scene in the movie. Vetrimaaran even spoke to Kavin directly
about the idea. But later, he chose another actor for the role, and that
actor is now shooting for it.
In an interview, Vetrimaaran said, “There is a special one-line concept
scene in Arasan. It needs to make a strong impact. I felt Kavin’s acting
style and natural expressions would fit the scene well. That’s why I spoke
to him directly. He reacted very positively.”
Kavin became popular among young audiences after movies like Naattu Pura
and Lift. His simple acting style and emotional performances may have
impressed Vetrimaaran. However, the director said that thinking of Kavin
for the role was only a temporary idea before he made his final choice.
