Why Deepika Waited to Join Bollywood

Before Deepika Padukone became a big star with her first Bollywood film Om
Shanti Om, she had already made a name for herself as a model and had acted
in South Indian films. Even though she received many movie offers, she did
not jump into Bollywood right away. She waited until she felt truly ready.
This early part of her journey shows how she believed in choosing the right
time instead of rushing into opportunities.

In a recent interview with Harper’s Bazaar, Deepika said that fame came to
her very quickly. Her modeling career lasted only two years, but it was strong
enough that people still remember her as a model. She said, “Honestly,
everything happened so fast that it sometimes feels blurry. I technically
modelled for just two years, and even then, the film industry had already
started contacting me.”
