Easy Protein-Rich Moong Dal Nuggets Snack
Moong Dal Nuggets Recipe
Moong Dal Nuggets are a protein-rich and easy-to-make snack. You can add vegetables along with green and yellow moong dal. They are also a great option to serve guests.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup yellow moong dal
1/2 cup green moong dal
Salt to taste
1/2 onion, finely chopped
2 green chillies, finely chopped
1/4 cup carrot, finely chopped
6–7 curry leaves
1 cup bread crumbs
1/2 tsp red chilli powder
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp chaat masala
1/2 tsp cumin
2 tbsp cornflour
2 tsp oil
Instructions:
Mix yellow and green moong dal. Wash them and soak for 2–3 hours.
Cook the soaked dal in water until it is half-cooked. Let it cool.
Keep 2 tablespoons of dal aside. Grind the rest in a mixer to make a smooth paste.
In a bowl, mix the ground dal with chopped vegetables, spices, bread crumbs, and cornflour to make a dough.
Shape the dough into small nuggets. Preheat an air fryer to 180°C (356°F). Place the nuggets in the basket, brush with oil, and bake for 15 minutes until golden and crispy.
Optional: You can also deep fry the nuggets in oil instead of air frying.
Serve hot as a tasty snack!
