Simple and Delicious Keema Biryani Recipe

Biryani is a tasty and aromatic dish loved by many people. It brings people together with its rich flavor and smell. One popular type is Keema Biryani, made with rice, minced lamb, and spices. It is perfect for family meals and special occasions.

🍽️ Ingredients

500 grams rice

500 grams lamb keema (minced meat)

1 cup yogurt

1 cup sliced onions

1 tbsp garlic paste

½ tsp ginger paste

1 piece ginger (sliced)

2 tsp coriander powder

1 tsp red chilli powder

2 tbsp desi ghee

50 grams butter

1 glass milk

1 tbsp rose water

5–6 mint leaves

1 cup almonds

5–6 raisins

Salt (to taste)

Water (as needed)

For Garam Masala:

2 tsp cumin seeds

2 tsp coriander seeds

3–4 green cardamom pods

1 black cardamom

3–4 cinnamon sticks

2 tsp mace

1 tsp black peppercorns

5–6 cloves

🍳 How to Make Keema Biryani

Wash the rice and soak it in water for some time.

Dry roast all the garam masala spices. Let them cool and grind into a fine powder.

Boil almonds, peel them, and cut into small pieces. Chop the raisins. Heat ghee in a pan and cook the sliced onions on low heat until golden.

In a bowl, mix yogurt, garlic paste, ginger paste, coriander powder, red chilli powder, and black cardamom. Add this mixture to the onions and cook for 2 minutes.

Add the lamb keema and cook well. Add salt and the prepared garam masala.

Pour in 1 cup of water and let it simmer. Then transfer the keema to another pan. Add milk, butter, almonds, and raisins, and mix well.

Boil the rice until almost cooked. Add salt and rose water, then mix gently.

In a pot, add half of the keema mixture. Then add a layer of rice on top. Sprinkle mint leaves and sliced ginger.

Add the remaining keema and then the rest of the rice as the top layer.

Cover the pot and cook on low heat for some time (dum cooking).

Serve the hot and delicious Keema Biryani.
