Spicy and Flavorful Black Pepper Chicken Curry Recipe

Ingredients:
500 g boneless chicken, cut into bite-sized pieces
2 tbsp freshly ground black pepper
1 tsp turmeric powder
Salt to taste
3 tbsp mustard oil or ghee
1 tsp cumin seeds
3–4 cardamom pods
3–4 cloves
1 large onion, finely chopped
1 tbsp ginger, minced
1 tbsp garlic, minced
1 cup tomato puree
1 cup water or chicken broth
Fresh coriander leaves for garnish (optional)
How to Make:
In a bowl, mix the chicken with black pepper, turmeric, and salt.
Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
Heat mustard oil or ghee in a pan over medium heat.
Add cumin seeds, cardamom, and cloves. Let them sizzle for a few seconds.
Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
Add ginger and garlic. Cook until the raw smell goes away.
Add the marinated chicken. Cook until all sides are golden brown.
Pour in the tomato puree and mix well, coating the chicken evenly.
Cook for a few minutes until the oil starts to separate.
Add water or chicken broth to make the curry the way you like it.
Simmer on low heat, stirring occasionally.
Taste and adjust salt and black pepper if needed.
