108 Ambulance Staff Demand Full Pay, Fixed Hours
The Tamil Nadu 108 Ambulance Labour Progressive Federation has demanded that the government restore a six per cent wage cut and provide eight-hour workdays for all ambulance employees, in line with labour laws.
The federation said that in 2024, 108 ambulance staff received a 16% salary increase. However, in 2025, this was reduced to 10%. They are now asking for the remaining six per cent to be given immediately.
The federation also criticized the practice of paying salaries in parts, two or three times a month. They want full salaries to be paid to all employees on February 1.
If their demands are not met, the federation has warned that employees will stop using biometric attendance from February 1 as a form of protest.
