Adani Boosts Ammunition Production with Major Investment
Adani Group has set aside Rs 7,000 crore to strengthen its place in India’s
ammunition market. Most of this work is happening at its 500-acre plant near
Kanpur, where Adani Defence is making different types of small-caliber ammunition.
Right now, the plant produces 150 million rounds every year, but the company
plans to increase this to 500 million rounds per year.
The Kanpur facility is the main center for Adani Defence’s ammunition production.
The company is expanding its capacity to supply more to the Indian market,
according to a Moneycontrol report.
The plant already makes many kinds of small-caliber ammunition, and its
design allows it to handle much larger production in the future.
Producing 150 million rounds a year shows that Adani Defence already has a
strong presence in the industry. The plan to more than triple its output is a
major part of the company’s investment strategy.
