AIADMK Backs Vijay, Targets DMK

Tamil Nadu politics witnessed fresh arguments after the AIADMK came out in support of actor-turned-politician Vijay. The party accused the ruling DMK of trying to damage Vijay’s reputation as he prepares to enter his first electoral contest.

Vijay, who recently started his political party Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), is expected to play a major role in the upcoming elections in the state. As his political activities increase, discussions about his personal life have also started appearing in the public domain, leading to political reactions from different parties.

The latest controversy began after a petition related to Vijay’s divorce case surfaced in public discussions. The matter quickly attracted attention on social media and in political circles, with several leaders commenting on it.

Leaders of the AIADMK criticised the ruling DMK and alleged that the issue was being highlighted deliberately to create a negative image of Vijay among the public. They said personal matters should not be used as political tools, especially when someone is preparing to enter public life.

AIADMK leaders also said that such actions reflect unhealthy political competition and distract from real issues that affect people. According to them, political parties should focus on governance, development, and public welfare instead of targeting individuals.

Meanwhile, leaders from the DMK have not officially responded in detail to the allegations made by the AIADMK. However, the issue has sparked debate among supporters of different political parties across the state.

Political observers say that with Vijay entering politics and preparing for his first election campaign, he is likely to face increasing political scrutiny. They note that both his political decisions and personal matters may continue to be discussed as the election approaches.

The situation highlights the growing competition in Tamil Nadu politics, where new political players are entering the field while established parties are also strengthening their strategies ahead of the elections.
