AIADMK-BJP Rift Is Just Media Talk: Nainar

Tamil Nadu BJP president Nainar Nagenthran has said that actor Vijay’s political party, Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK), will not affect the NDA’s vote share in the state. He expressed confidence that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) will win the upcoming elections in Tamil Nadu.

Speaking to TNIE, Nagenthran said that many people in the state feel disappointed and cheated by the ruling DMK government. He claimed that the public is looking for change and better governance.

He also dismissed reports of disagreements between the AIADMK and the BJP over sharing power if the NDA forms the government. He called such reports “media chatter” and said there is no serious conflict between the allies.

Nagenthran said Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s idea of a “double-engine” government means that both the Centre and the state should work together smoothly. According to him, this cooperation will help bring faster development and better welfare schemes for the people.

He criticised the DMK government for often taking a confrontational stand against the Centre, even on projects that could benefit the public. He said this approach slows down development and affects the state’s progress.

The BJP leader expressed confidence that the NDA alliance will gain strong support from voters in the next election.
