Amit Shah Reviews Border Security in Jammu

Union Home Minister Amit Shah will review the security situation in Jammu and Kashmir during his visit to Jammu today. He will hold a high-level meeting to discuss border security and law and order in the Union Territory.

Mr. Shah arrived in Jammu last night for a two-day visit. He was received at the airport by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha.

During his visit, the Home Minister will meet with security officials and senior administrative officers. He will review the overall safety situation and check the progress of various development projects being carried out in the region.

Today, Mr. Shah will visit the International Border at Hiranagar in Kathua district. He will inspect new gadgets and equipment installed by the Border Security Force (BSF) to stop cross-border infiltration. He will also visit BSF outposts at Bobia and Gurnam to understand the ground situation and security arrangements.

In addition, the Home Minister will meet the families of soldiers who lost their lives while serving the nation. He will also hand over appointment letters to selected candidates at Lok Bhavan in Jammu.

Officials said the visit aims to strengthen security, support development, and ensure peace and stability in the Union Territory.
