Amit Shah to Inaugurate CSR Nutrition Conclave

Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah will open a CSR conclave at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi today. The event is titled “Role of Corporate Social Responsibility in Nutrition Security and Malnutrition Mitigation.”

The conclave aims to discuss how companies can work with the government to reduce malnutrition, especially among children. The focus will be on finding new, practical, and long-term ways to improve nutrition across the country.

The event is organised by the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB). Experts, policymakers, and representatives from different organisations will take part and share ideas on using CSR programmes to improve nutrition security.

During the conclave, Amit Shah will also launch the third phase of the Giftmilk Programme. This programme is part of the CSR efforts of the SAIL-Bhilai Steel Plant in Chhattisgarh. Under this initiative, about 4,000 children studying in government schools in the mining areas of the Bhilai Steel Plant will receive milk regularly.

The programme aims to improve the health and nutrition of schoolchildren and support their growth and overall development.
