Army Activates Counter-Drone Systems Along LoC
Rajouri, Jammu and Kashmir: The Indian Army on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, activated its counter-drone systems along the Line of Control (LoC) after several drones were spotted in the Pir Panjal Valley of Rajouri district.
According to official sources, the drones were seen flying close to the LoC, raising security concerns. In response, the Army quickly put counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) into action to track and neutralise any possible threat.
Officials said the situation is being closely monitored, and security has been strengthened in the area. The Army remains on high alert to prevent any attempts at cross-border infiltration or surveillance using drones.
Such measures are part of the Army’s ongoing efforts to protect the border and ensure the safety of people living near the LoC.
