Assemblywoman Condemns Violence Against Bangladeshi Hindus

New York State Assemblywoman Jenifer Rajkumar strongly condemned the mob killing of 25-year-old Dipu Chandra Das in Bangladesh. She said the attack is part of a larger pattern of violence and harassment against religious minorities in the country.

According to reports, Das was attacked by a group of people, beaten, set on fire, and left on a highway. Twelve suspects have been arrested in connection with the incident. Rajkumar expressed shock and sadness over the brutality of the attack and called for justice for the victim.

The Assemblywoman highlighted that attacks like this are not isolated but are part of growing threats and persecution faced by minority communities in Bangladesh. She stressed the need for authorities to take strict action to protect vulnerable groups and prevent further violence.

Rajkumar also urged the international community to pay attention to the situation and ensure that human rights and religious freedom are respected in Bangladesh. She said everyone has the right to live safely, without fear of attacks based on their religion or beliefs.
