Bangladesh Confirmed for T20 World Cup 2026

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has confirmed that Bangladesh will be able to participate without interruption in the upcoming T20 World Cup 2026. This assurance came on Wednesday after officials from the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) met with ICC board members.

The meeting followed the BCB’s earlier decision to refuse traveling to India for the T20 World Cup. The board had protested against the removal of Bangladeshi fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman from the Indian Premier League (IPL).

In a statement, the BCB said the ICC is ready to listen to the board’s concerns and take them into account. The ICC has also agreed to consider all suggestions from Bangladesh to prepare a detailed security plan for the tournament.

The ICC’s commitment aims to ensure that Bangladesh’s players can participate safely in the global event and that the team’s participation will not be affected by previous disputes or concerns. The BCB said it is working with the ICC to make sure everything is in place before the tournament begins.
