“Biren Singh Warns of Distraction from Core Issue”

Former Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren Singh said that some powerful groups
are purposely trying to distract people from the main issue facing the
State — the problem of illegal immigrants entering Manipur.

He explained that instead of focusing on this important issue, these groups
are creating confusion and shifting the discussion to other matters. According
to him, this is slowing down efforts to solve the real problem.

Mr. Biren Singh also said that anti-national and anti-State elements are involved
in this distraction. He stressed that such groups should not be allowed to divert
public attention, as doing so will harm the State’s security and peace.

He urged the people and authorities to stay focused on the issue of infiltrators,
which he believes is the root cause of several problems in Manipur.
