Bishnoi Gang Claims Responsibility for Bawana Murder

A day after a businessman was chased and shot dead by unidentified gunmen in Delhi’s Bawana industrial area, the Lawrence Bishnoi gang has claimed responsibility for the murder.

The incident took place when the attackers reportedly followed the businessman and opened fire at him after a brief chase. He suffered serious bullet injuries and died on the spot. The shocking incident created panic in the busy industrial area, with workers and local residents rushing for safety.

On Tuesday (February 10, 2026), a social media post surfaced in which the Lawrence Bishnoi gang allegedly claimed that it was behind the killing. The post quickly drew the attention of the police and raised concerns about organised crime activities in the region.

However, police officials said they are still verifying the authenticity of the post. They are checking whether the message was actually shared by members of the gang or by someone else trying to mislead the investigation.

Meanwhile, the police have registered a case and launched a detailed probe. Teams are examining CCTV footage from the area, collecting evidence from the crime scene, and questioning witnesses to identify the attackers. Security has also been increased in and around the industrial zone.

The Lawrence Bishnoi gang has been linked to several criminal cases in the past, including extortion, threats and targeted killings. If the claim is confirmed, officials said strict action will be taken against those involved.
