BJP Criticizes Congress Over National Anthem Disrespect
The Bharatiya Janata Party has criticized the Indian National Congress for allegedly disrespecting the national song “Vande Mataram.”
The issue started in Indore during a meeting about the city’s budget on April 8. According to reports, two Congress members refused to sing “Vande Mataram” during the meeting. They said their decision was based on their religious beliefs.
The BJP strongly reacted to this and accused Congress of focusing on vote bank politics instead of respecting national values. The party said such actions hurt the country’s dignity and go against its cultural heritage.
BJP leaders also stated that national symbols and songs should be respected by everyone, regardless of political differences. They argued that political benefits should not come at the cost of national pride.
The incident has sparked a political debate, with both sides likely to defend their positions as the issue gains attention.
