Court Seizes Panchayat Employee’s Assets Worth ₹71 Lakh

A special court in Indore has ordered that assets worth ₹71.74 lakh belonging to a panchayat employee and his wife be taken over by the government.

According to officials, these properties include both movable assets (like money or valuables) and immovable assets (like land or buildings). All of them were found during a Lokayukta police raid that took place 11 years ago.

A prosecution officer said that during the raid, the Lokayukta team discovered wealth that the couple could not explain. After years of investigation and legal process, the court has now decided that the properties should be confiscated.

The order marks the end of a long case related to corruption and illegal assets.
