CSK Begins Pre-Season Camp for IPL 19

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) began its pre-season training camp on Sunday as it prepares for the 19th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The camp marks the start of the team’s preparations for another competitive season.

The five-time IPL champions are training at their High Performance Centre in Navalur, located on the outskirts of Chennai. The sessions are being led by assistant coach Rajiv Kumar and assistant bowling coach S. Sriram, who are focusing on improving both individual skills and overall team performance.

The players started with fitness drills and conditioning exercises to build stamina and strength. This was followed by intense net sessions, where batters worked on shot selection and timing, while bowlers focused on accuracy, variations, and death-over strategies. Fielding drills were also conducted to improve agility, catching, and coordination.

The coaching staff is carefully monitoring each player’s fitness levels and workload to avoid injuries before the tournament begins. Trainers and support staff are working closely with players to ensure they are physically and mentally ready for the long IPL season.

Young players and newly signed members of the squad are using this camp as an opportunity to impress the coaches. Training alongside experienced senior players is helping them learn the team’s style and build confidence.

CSK, known for its strong leadership and calm approach under pressure, will look to use this camp to strengthen team bonding and fine-tune strategies. The team aims to start the new IPL season with confidence and maintain its reputation as one of the most successful franchises in the league.

The pre-season camp will continue over the next few weeks, with more players expected to join as they complete other commitments.
