“Earthquake Halts Bangladesh–Ireland Test Match Briefly”

A 5.5 magnitude earthquake shook Dhaka and many parts of Bangladesh on Friday
morning. Because of this, the second Test match between Bangladesh and Ireland
was briefly stopped at the Sher-e-Bangla Stadium in Mirpur. The United States
Geological Survey (USGS) said the earthquake happened near Narsingdi.

On Day 3, Ireland were 165/5 in the 56th over of their second innings when the
tremors were felt. The match was paused for a short time, and the Ireland players
came out of the dressing room onto the field, causing a brief interruption.
